WE MAKE AMAZING THINGS OUT OF WOOD WITH THE PAST.

About us

Dziedzicdesign is a workshop which has been created because of love for beauty, fondness for nature and passion for creation. Our work can be described as a balance between craft, architecture and fashion. We make beautiful things from recovered wood and try to produce them with balanced manufacture without polluting the environment. Additionally, we make an effort to create applied art with a multigenerational message.

What is more, each product made in our workshop is unique and inimitable as we change waste into luxury. Products from the black oak can be described as a touch of history dating back to hundred or even thousand years. We create usable and decorative things which can make your interiors look dignified and elegant. The uniqueness of wooden fragments remained from larger parts of the oak wood has became an inspiration to produce small wonders. That is why, we also devote our time to create special jewellery items in very limited versions. We are sure that you will find here some kind of luxury for yourself.

The black oak

What is the black oak?

The black oak is a very rare, raw material obtained from gravel heaps, rivers and swamps. The wood loses its colour as it lingers in fluvial deposits for a long time. For this reason it seems to be ugly and dirty. However, after proper cleaning, processing and polishing its beauty appears immediately. The wood needs gradual drying and seasoning for several years so as not to lose its valuable properties. Then, it turns into solid black wood with remarkable textures and ringing. That is why, lots of creators from all over the world have already appreciated the beauty of this material. The black oak wood is perceived as a luxurious product because of its uniqueness, inaccessibility and rich heritage.
